We signed all the papers at the title company yesterday, and I just looked online and the warranty deed is recorded. We officially own 5 acres of raw land; while that is so very super exciting, it's equally scary and worrisome. 😂 I have some blog posts I plan on rolling out soon that speak about how we chose the land, what we looked for and what kinds of things we did for feasibility before we decided to close (and spend all our hard saved money!). I also have sneak peeks of our floor plan and some of the ideas we have.

Maiden Voyage, August 2016

This is the trailer we purchased in the beginning of August 2016. It is a 2017 Palomino Puma 31BHSS. It's about 35' if you include the tongue. When we purchased it, we had no clue we would be eventually living in it, but I think it will work just fine for living.


We fell in love with the 2 entry door option, having the door at the bathroom has been so helpful. In the muddy PNW weather we have it is nice to be able to pop in that door to use the restroom vs tracking wet and dirt through the whole trailer.

There is a ton of storage in all the interior cabinetry so I am looking forward to packing it all up. Our longest trip has been 6 days in the trailer and it has been plenty of space. We have made some alterations to the Outside Kitchen (removed the cabinet and put in a kegerator); I think having the outdoor kitchen has been very useful! Especially the sink.
